Is the Queen's visit the biggest sign yet that the royal baby is already here?
They might have wanted to keep the arrival of their baby secret but Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have just given us the biggest clue that the royal tot has already been born.
According to royal sources, the Queen has visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Frogmore Cottage - and straight away alarm bells started going off in our heads.
It’s well known that the Queen is always the first person to be notified when a new baby has been born into the royal family.
And considering how close a bond Her Majesty is reported to have with the 37-year-old duchess, it’s highly likely that instead of telephoning the couple with her congratulations, she decided to pop in and do it in person instead.
One royal insider however claims that the Queen was simply welcoming Harry and Meghan to the area, as she is currently on her Easter break in Windsor castle, just a stone’s throw from Frogmore Cottage.
“Her Majesty wanted to formally welcome the Sussexes to their new home so she was their first visitor,” a source told The Sun.
“After all, they’ve practically moved into her back garden. She visited with other family members and Harry and Meghan were delighted to show them round.”
While there is still no news on the royal baby, it’s thought it’s arrival will be any day now, especially considering Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, has arrived in London to be with her daughter.
According to PR expert Nick Ede, Doria is ‘ready’ and ‘raring to go’.
“I think she’s going to be a really great grandmother,” he told Yahoo UK’s The Royal Box.
“She’s got a really strong maternal instinct and she’s the perfect partner to be with Meghan at this time.”
