Interview: Susanna Lau (aka Susie Bubble)

Which shows are you most looking forward to seeing at RAFW and why?

I'm looking forward to Dion Lee, Ellery, Arsndorf, Karla Spetic, Therese Rawsthorne as well as the return of Lover and Josh Goot. To me their aesthetics stand out but to be honest, I'll try to see everything as I'm blogging for Sportsgirl, to make sure I haven't missed any hidden gems!

What's your take on Australian style?
I'm not sure if there is a definitive 'Australian' style. The cliche would be that it's more laid-back, casual etc but that wasn't the case when I came down last year to find girls getting really dressed up for fashion week. I suppose there's a tendency in Australia to dress appropriately and brilliantly for sunshine (which we don't get a lot of in the UK!)....

What essentials will you be packing in your bag for fashion week?
Wide brimmed hats - I've bought plenty of them this time round. White Sunspel t-shirts. They're my new favourite things and perfect for ticking the Jil Sander S/S 11 box.

What's the biggest fashion faux pas one can commit at fashion week?
Not eat or drink. You seem to forget basic bodily functions during fashion week...

What's been the highlight of your blogging career so far?
Being able to travel for sure!

Where's the strangest place you’ve ever found yourself blogging from?
A strange little hotel in Reykjavik in Iceland where the wifi was killlllling me because it was so slow...

Do you plan your outfits in advance, or go with your mood each day?
Definitely by mood. I only plan outfits if I'm travelling but when I have my full wardrobe at my disposal, I just go with whatever I think works...

If you could raid anyone else's wardrobe on earth, whose would it be and why?
Probably the accessories designer Katie Hillier - I saw a profile piece on her closet and it's insane how many great key pieces she has accumulated over the years.
