Yahoo Lifestyle Inside Out Spinoff Series Sets Disney+ Release Date — Watch Teaser
The world of Inside Out is expanding: A spinoff series based on the hit animated film franchise is coming to Disney+ before year’s end.
The four-episode offshoot, titled Dream Productions, will premiere Wednesday, Dec. 11. The show is set between the two Inside Out movies and is “focused on the movie studio where Riley’s dreams are made,” per the official description.

Written and directed by Mike Jones, Dream Production will features the voices of Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Richard Ayoade, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith.
Additionally, Win or Lose — Pixar’s first original series not spun-off from one of its feature films — will arrive Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025. The cartoon “reveals what it feels like to be in the shoes of eight different characters — the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire — as they prepare for a championship softball game” — and each perspective will receive its own episode. Will Forte voices the aforementioned coach.
“These two series really show Pixar creativity at its finest,” Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter said in a statement Tuesday. “We’re excited fans won’t have to wait long for more great content from the world of Inside Out. Dream Productions offers up a treasure trove of jokes and fun as it digs deeper into one of our favorite parts of the first film, the making of Riley’s dreams. And we consider Win or Lose a major, first-of-its-kind tentpole series, one that really showcases what I think makes our studio great: bold, imaginative storytelling; laugh-out-loud humor; and characters that we can all relate to.”
The original Inside Out, following the emotions inside the mind of a young girl named Riley, hit theaters in 2015 and became a blockbuster hit, leading to the sequel Inside Out 2, which featured a now teenaged Riley and debuted this June. The sequel was an even bigger hit, grossing more than $1.5 billion globally, and it arrives on Disney+ Wednesday.
