It seems dealing with crime does pay for Judge Judy, with the TV star splashing out a whopping $12.15 million for her new pad.

Records show ‘Judge Judy’ Sheindlin, 75, set a new sale record for the year with her purchase of the 9,719-square-foot property in Newport, Rhode Island, .

Known as the ‘Bird House’ thanks to previous owner, Campbell Soup heiress Dorrance Hamilton’s love of birds, Judge Judy admits she’s “looking forward to falling in love with Newport”.
