Influencer locks down account after trolls ridicule her photoshopping

An Instagrammer has spoken out after she became the butt of people’s jokes when screenshots of her posts began circulating online.

Followers of Argentinian travel blogger Tupi Saravia, who has almost 300,000 followers, noticed something a little odd about many of her photos, and after putting them together, accused her of photoshopping the sky.

Many of her photos featured an eerily similar pattern of clouds in the background - something which she herself has joked about - and began trolling her for it online.

Tupi was completely taken aback by the response, particularly as she insists she has always been open about the fact she photoshops her images. In fact, she uses a specific setting in a specific app to add the same clouds when her photos are overexposed.

“I can't believe how far this went,” she tells BuzzFeed News, “They were always aware about this because I never hide it”.

“Actually I'm the first one to tell the joke [that] the clouds are following me around the world.”

That hasn’t stopped people from having a chuckle at her expense however, and Tupi has since turned her account to private.

At least one person had her back on Twitter, writing, “So this young woman, who isn’t hurting anyone, has now had to turn her account private just because she adds clouds to her photos.”

“Who f*cking cares? It says something that women making a living are still considered an appropriate target for ridicule today of all f’ing days”, she said in reference to Australia’s Equal Pay Day on Wednesday.
