'I'm bawling': Recovered drug addict's 'amazing' transformation
A woman who had all her teeth removed due to drug addiction has revealed an amazing transformation.
Brittany Negler, 29, of Philadelphia, turned to drugs after her brother died.
“For the longest time, I thought I killed my brother,” she says in an Instagram video.
“I just want to eat again.”
The 29-year-old says she believed she killed her brother while he was coping with a serious illness and relying on intubation tubes, something she was later told by her parents wasn’t true.
Ms Negler had all her teeth removed after a dentist determined they could not be fixed. She weighed just 35kg when she went to visit Dr Kenny Wilstead.
She sobs as she tells him “I wore baggy clothes”, revealing she’s wearing three t-shirts and a jumper.
The 29-year-old says she went to a “dark place” and turned to drugs.
She was eventually able to go clean but not long after, a trip to a dentist revealed her teeth couldn’t be fixed and had to be removed - something she believes the dentist “made up”.
