Hunter King Opens Up About Her Engagement to Chris Copier, Shows Off Diamond Ring
The 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story' star gushed over her fiancé during an appearance on 'Today with Hoda & Jenna'
Ahead of the release of her new romance movie, Hunter King is opening up about her real-life romance.
During an appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the 31-year-old actress talked a little about her own love story while promoting her upcoming Hallmark movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.
While sitting next to co-star Tyler Hynes, King explained to hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that she met her fiancé, Chris Copier, while on set of Give Me Your Eyes in early 2022.
"He was my first AD (assistant director) and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s cute.’ I had to talk to him," she gushed of her fiancé on the show. She starred in the horror film as Jael Jones, an agoraphobic woman who must remotely assist another woman being pursued by killers.
She also flashed a glimpse of her sparkling engagement ring before detailing her Hallmark-worthy beach proposal.
"He took me to Santa Barbara, and we rented bikes with our two puppies, rode up and down the coast and then we went to the beach and he said, ‘Let’s take some photos,'" King recalled. "And went down on one knee I just started jumping up and down. I blacked out and I think I said, ‘Are you sure, are you sure, are you sure?’ And he’s like, ‘You need to say yes so I can give you your ring.’ "
King announced their engagement on Oct. 24 in an Instagram Reel documenting Copier's proposal.
In the adorable video, The Young and the Restless Emmy winner kissed Copier beside their dogs Poppy and Leo on the beach. Like King said, after Copier suddenly got down on one knee, she began jumping for joy. She then fell to her knees with her arms wrapped around Copier's neck. They kissed again before an excited Copier pulled away to place the ring on his now-fiancée's ring finger.
"Best day of my life🤍 @chriscope88 I can’t wait to marry your ass💍," King captioned the post.
Bush Hager told King, "Now he’s your first AD forever."
"Oh I love that," King responded. "That’s going to be our wedding hashtag."

Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story premieres Nov. 30 on Hallmark Channel as part of the network's 15th annual Countdown to Christmas.
