Hundreds gather to pay tribute to Annalise Braakensiek
Friends and family of late actress Annalise Braakensiek gathered at Bondi Beach on Wednesday morning to pay tribute to the model following her tragic death last week.
Between 200 and 300 people participated in a group sunrise meditation session and paddle out to sea, before sending out a wreath of frangipanis into the ocean.
Amongst the many who attended the Bondi event on Wednesday was model Jodhi Meares, who had described Annalise as a “beautiful angel”.
“Bon voyage to another Bondi beauty at her fair well paddle out this morning,” wrote Clarity and Perspective coach Vashti Whitfield alongside a photo of the gathering at the beach.
“#Annalisebraakensiek… love – tenderness and a pain in my chest this morning for the loss of another beautiful little soul,” she added.
Anne-Maree Sargeant from the Snap Assembly also shared some details from the day.

“The seagull that circled us at the tail end of the meditation before the paddle out (as a really great friend notes ales) was her doing a head count),” she wrote.
“Heartfelt & cathartic. So very sad, devastated but happy and sad. We miss you babe.”
Annalise had been found dead in her Sydney apartment on Sunday January 6 at age 46.
Friends of the lingerie designer reportedly became concerned when they had not heard from her in a few days.
Police rescue and ambulance later attended her Potts Point apartment where they found her body.

There were no suspicious circumstances and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.
Annalise, who also ran an organic recipes line, had moved into the apartment last year following a split with her stockbroker husband, Danny Goldberg.
During an interview with the Daily Edition in 2017, she opened up on her battle with depression and role as an ambassador for RUOK? Day.
“It was the … negative reaction people had to me being depressed and falling under the dark cloud,” she said at the time.
