Does anyone get sick of listening to Hugh Jackman’s voice? Well according to the actor, his family does.

Jackman’s wife and children have said they are ‘sick’ of hearing the soundtrack to blockbuster hit The Greatest Showman which has continued to dominate the charts since its release in December 2017.

The Wolverine star’s wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their kids Oscar and Ava, are often seen supporting their famous dad, but when it comes to the soundtrack they’ve drawn a line.

“My kids and even my wife are getting so sick of it,” the 50-year-old star admitted. “They’re like, ‘It’s the 20th week at Number One!’”

The actor admitted for him there was still a thrill when the song came on. “I’m still excited about it,” he confessed.

Jackman portrayed circus owner P. T. Barnum in the film which was nominated for an Academy Award but left audiences divided.

Critics were unenthusiastic about the film, awarding it an overall rating of only 56% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences on the other hand loved it, rating the musical as high as 86% on the site.

Jackman has previously said he accepts not everybody is going to like the film, admitting its commercial nature may have turned people off.

“Of course people are sniffy; it’s quite commercial, it’s down the middle, there are people who wanted us to do different things with the character than what we were doing,” he said.

“In the end, I’m a storyteller. I’m an actor who tells stories. Some people didn’t like ‘The Greatest Showman’ and that’s fine with me.”

Surely he didn’t think those people would include his nearest and dearest, but at least the actor seems to have taken it in his stride.

Still, that’s got to hurt… ouch.
