Yahoo Lifestyle Home and Away's Cash makes a worrying discovery in Dana storyline

Home and Away's Cash Newman is set to make a disturbing discovery in new scenes due to air in Australia, as he uncovers the truth about his dodgy police colleague Madden.
Cash has just been put back in touch with his old friend Harper on Australian screens and has immediately been thrown into a drama, with Harper asking him to help her with her sister, Dana, who is on the run after being framed for drug crimes by her ex-boyfriend, Ollie.
TV Week reports that, in scenes that will air in Australia next week and in the UK in October, Cash will have his loyalty to the police force seriously challenged when he realises just how corrupt his boss, Madden, really is.

With Dana still in hiding until she can prove her innocence in the drugs case, the situation looks dire for her as Madden is convinced that she's guilty of the crimes she's being accused of.
When Harper is called in for questioning about her sister, Cash tries to arm himself with useful information.
Dana later reveals that she was having lunch with Harper on the day that the drugs were stolen, but somehow these details didn't make it into her statement to Madden. Cash assures Dana that the restaurant they visited will have CCTV footage, which could be used to exonerate her.

Feeling that freedom is within reach, Dana brags about her impending freedom to ex Ollie, who is still trying to pin his crimes on her.
However, she faces a setback when Cash tries to collect the CCTV footage from the restaurant and is shocked to find out that his enemy, Madden, has already visited and taken the video evidence. But how did he know about it?
Later on, at the police station, Madden grills Harper about Dana's whereabouts and Cash struggles to keep his cool. Madden soon issues a warning – he knows that they're lying and things are about to get very messy as a result.

Madden's threats only confirm Cash's suspicions – Madden is corrupt and is working with Dana's ex to try to frame her.
Cash reels at the shocking development, knowing that, whatever Madden has planned, it's sure to put everyone in danger.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
