Brits are returning to the same holiday spots year in, year out, with nearly nine in 10 of us saying they have returned to the same place more than once.

On average, we’ve returned to the same destination five times.

While, at the extreme end, one in 10 say they have been to the same place 15 times or more.

This is according to a poll of 2,000 British adults commissioned by ebookers, a holiday booking site, and conducted by One Poll.

The same specific British-loved holiday destinations cropped up among tourists: one in three said they had revisited Paris, while a fifth had returned to Amsterdam and nearly one in ten had been to Las Vegas twice.

Then there were those who were loyal to a particular country but didn’t necessarily visit the same town or city when they returned.

Half of the population said they had travelled to Spain more than once, while almost a quarter (23%) said they had revisited the States and a third have returned to France.

So which countries made the top 20 places we’re most likely to revisit? Here’s what respondents said:

“But at the end of the day, there’s a lot to be said for comfort and going somewhere you feel at home – so we say re-book if that’s the way you feel, but don’t rule out staying somewhere different or trying a new activity while you’re there.”
