Hoda Kotb is sharing a few key details about her new home.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, the news anchor, 60, who recently moved with her daughters  Haley, 7, and Hope, 4, discussed what her girls are most excited about in their new house. While Kotb just wants the kids to "feel warm and cozy and [have] a place where they want to hang," her daughters can't wait to have "their own space."

"The kids are going to have their own rooms," the Today with Hoda and Jenna host told her co-host Jenna Bush Hager.

She continued to describe the organization of her new home, sharing, "It’s three bedrooms upstairs — mine and then one for Haley and one for Hope. And they’re so excited to have their own space."

"They’re excited about a reading chair, they’re excited about having a beanbag chair, and their bed — that kind of stuff."

Bush Hager then chimed in, recalling the time her children Poppy, 9, Mila, 11, and Hal, 5, upgraded to separate bedrooms, sharing that the kids actually grew closer because of it.

"I have to say, because we shared rooms and my kids shared rooms. It was awesome and then all of a sudden, they were butting heads," she said. "They got their own space and now they sometimes choose to sleep together. And I like that."

Kotb replied, "It’s so crazy. But I do love the whole kind of restarting, repotting, starting something new. It feels really good."

When it comes to discussing the big move, Kotb said, "I’m trying to use the word repotting because it just feels better."

"It’s like you pull up by the roots and you replant somewhere else: somewhere where you know your roots will grow big," she explained. "So I’ve been thinking about that because it’s all new: new kids in school, new things; new everything."
