Hilaria and Alec Baldwin are opening up about the emotional toll of the deadly shooting on the set of his film Rust in a preview for their new reality show, The Baldwins.

“A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy,” Hilaria Baldwin said in the trailer, which dropped Monday. “This is never something to forget, and we’re trying to parent through it.”

In another moment, Alec Baldwin tells his wife, “Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids.”

In 2021, Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust and was charged with involuntary manslaughter. He was officially cleared of all charges in December. Earlier this month, he filed a civil rights suit alleging that he was unfairly prosecuted in the manslaughter case.

The first episode of The Baldwins, which premieres Feb. 23, includes a trip to East Hampton and birthday celebrations for the Baldwins' eldest son, Rafael.

“But in the midst of celebration is uncertainty as Alec faces trial. Alec and Hilaria navigate the emotional complexities of the moment, all while keeping their children’s lives as stable as possible,” the episode description adds.

The Badwins called the shooting the show an “amazing journey” in a statement. The couple have been married since 2012 and share seven children together.

“This series gives viewers a glimpse into our lives as a family – the good, bad, wild, and everything in between,” the statement continued. “We hope viewers will connect with our experiences and the love we share.”
