Here's how you can fly to Europe for $299

Anyone who’s ever been to Europe will know just how expensive it is to get over there from Australia, with the average flight setting you back between $1,500 and $2,000.

But Scoot airlines have just dropped a bombshell deal that’s almost too good to refuse – one way flights to Europe starting from as little as $299.

As with any good thing, this particular price is only available on flights from Perth to Athens, but if you’d rather fly out from the Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne, you can still pick up an incredible one way fare from just $309.

The other caveat is that you can only travel between now and May 30th, and you’ll have to factor in the price of tickets from Athens to other European capitals if you don’t intend on spending your whole trip in Greece. Plus, you’ll have to make up your mind quickly, as it’s only valid if you book by the end of February.

As Scoot is a budget airline under the arm of the Singapore Airlines Group, it goes by the system of ‘you pay for what you need,’ meaning baggage and meals will cost you extra.

However, even including these add-ons and conditions, it’s still a pretty decent discount – and who wouldn’t want to be living it up in the Greek Islands right now?

Athens isn’t the only cheap route the airline is offering either. As part of their ‘Deal of the Decade’ sales, you can also fly to Singapore from $199 from Perth, $139 from the Gold Coast, and $159 from Melbourne or Sydney.

Alternatively, there are routes to Tokyo and Osaka from $209 from Perth and the Gold Coast, and $219 from Sydney and Melbourne.

One-way fares to Thailand are offered from $149, while destinations in Indonesia start from $139 and Vietnam from $159.

Other routes to China range from deals starting at $189 to Hong Kong, to $210 to Tianjin and Hangzhou.

But if you’re tempted by any of these deals, you’ll have to act quickly as prices this low will only last on Scoot.com up to 11:59pm Thursday 28th February (Perth time) and your travel must be completed by 30th May 2019 – some blackout periods may apply.
