While some may say it’s still too early to start thinking about Christmas, the reality is you can’t ignore it for long – the countdown is here, people.

Celebrations are certainly at the forefront of many people’s minds, along with that niggling feeling that you’ll soon have to face the shops for your dreaded Christmas shopping.

But instead of leaving your present shopping to the last minute, why not be a little forward-thinking and take advantage of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?

Not only can you get your shopping done and dusted a good month before Christmas, you’ll also be able to save a hefty amount of cash. Win, win, win.

After seeing footage of shoppers in America scrambling and stampeding through Black Friday crowds to get that flat screen TV, it’s totally understandable if you’re a little put off by the idea of these sales.

According to a survey conducted by, only 21% of Aussies plan to shop on Black Friday, which falls on November 23 this year.
