Helena Christensen debuts new hair transformation

Helena Christensen has revealed a whole new look. On Instagram, she told her followers that she had cut her hair into a long bob.

In a carousel of photos, the 53-year-old showed off a before photo with her hair down her back, an in-process photo with her niece Sarah-Sofie Sonne, and two after shots with a voluminous, curly lob.

“it felt good,” Christensen wrote in her caption of her huge hair change, tagging Sonne in the photos.

In an in-process photo, Sonne held the scissors over Christensen’s hair, demonstrating the huge decision Christensen was about to make. A now-expired Instagram Story showed the whole cut in action, shot in hyperspeed with Sonne carefully cutting her hair.

Christensen’s comments section overflowed with kind words, including several from fellow models. Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Julia Stegner all chimed in to compliment her new look.

One comment read that Christensen looks beautiful no matter what length her hair is.

Christensen’s hairstylist, Marianne Jensen, previously shared how to achieve her iconic hair and the products she uses. Speaking to Vogue, she said: “The secret behind Helena’s hair is her Peruvian genes. She has incredible hair.”
