Heidi Klum shows off incredible figure while sunbathing nude

Heidi Klum has taken to Instagram to share a photo of herself sunbathing nude at her home on a particularly hot day.

"Today was a HOT one," she captioned the black and white snap, which was taken by husband Tom Kaulitz.

The 48-year-old appeared very relaxed as she lay on an outdoor lounge and towel wearing nothing but sunglasses.

The supermodel, who famously had her legs insured for $2.2 million in 2004, recently shared her health and fitness tips, which are surprisingly simple - like eating foods high in protein like eggs and lean chicken with veggies and staying active.

"I eat quite a lot," Heidi previously told site Buro 24/7. "I just eat the right things."

Some of Heidi's favourite foods include fruit and vegetable smoothies in the morning, egg-white omelette with vegetables and lean proteins such as chicken or turkey for lunch and nuts as snacks. When it comes to dinner, the model likes to keep things smaller than her lunches.

When it comes to training, Heidi insisted, "I don't really exercise that much."

"I don’t think you have to do a lot, but if you do a little bit [regularly], I think that’s important," she added.

When she does train, Heidi says her favourite things to do are running along the West Side Highway in New York City and also likes hiking, trampolining, yoga, circuit training and tennis.

In a chat with Glamour, Heidi shared her "best advice" is to have a training buddy.

"They keep you motivated and get you out of bed," she said. "I think it's also important to set goals. For example, when I started to run, I would run a mile and then walk a mile and kept building up as time went on. If you are running on the street, go one mailbox or one house further each day. It also helps to build up your endurance!"
