Heather Rae El Moussa Claps Back at Critic Who Says Her Dress Is 'Not Appropriate' for a Mom: 'I'm Still a Human'

Heather Rae El Moussa is owning her confidence this Christmas.

On Monday, Dec. 23, the Selling Sunset alum, 37, shared a sweet Instagram post with her friends and family during a holiday party, including a few family shots with husband Tarek El Moussa, 43, their son Tristan, 21 months, and her stepson Brayden, 8.

In the pictures, the proud mom can be seen rocking a red lace maxi dress, which one user took issue with. "The dress is not appropriate. Your a mom now," one follower wrote in her comment section.

The reality star clapped back at the user, asking, "So because I'm a mother i can't wear a pretty dress that makes me feel beautiful? What does that have to do with anything?" She added, "I'm still a human and my name is Heather I'm not just a mother. Choose joy."

The reality star screenshotted the conversation in her comments and posted it to her Instagram Stories, writing, "Comments like this make me laugh."

"I don't even get offended by the rudeness of others. I choose to spread joy not hate."

Heather isn't one to shy away from addressing her follower's comments. On Thanksgiving, she shared an Instagram post of herself celebrating the holiday with Tarek, Tristan and Brayden.

Tarek's daughter and Heather's stepdaughter Taylor, 14, was absent from the family photos, and Heather was quick to tell "the haters" why in the caption of the carousel.

"For the haters - Tay is on a trip with her mom, that's why she's not in our photo," Heather wrote at the end of the post's caption.

Tarek shares Taylor and Brayden with his ex-wife, Christina Haack.

Heather also raved over her family in the post, writing, "We are thankful for our kids, Taylor, Brayden & Tristan. They bring so much innocence, love and laughter to our lives. And our big blended crazy but beautiful 🤪 family."
