Heath Ledger's mini-me daughter Matilda seen out with new stepdad

Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger’s daughter Matilda Rose Ledger was just two-years-old when her father, 28 at the time, tragically passed away from an accidental drug overdose.

Now over a decade later, Matilda has grown up to be the spitting image of her famous father – not only inheriting his gorgeous blonde locks but also his height.

The 13-year-old was spotted walking the streets of Brooklyn with her new stepdad Phil Elverum, and her younger stepsister Agathe, who were all rugged up for the colder months.

Heath’s sister Kate previously spoke about Matilda’s resemblance to The Dark Night actor in the documentary I Am Heath Ledger.

“Now everything she does… the way she rides a skateboard… reminds me of Heath,” she said.

“I’m really happy I’m at a stage I can see Matilda and be happy, and feel her daddy’s energy through her.”

Matilda’s mother Michelle, was left absolutely heartbroken when she lost who she thought was the love of her life in 2008, yet she never gave up on the idea of romance.

In July this year, Michelle married singer-songwriter Phil Elverum in a secret ceremony at the Adirondack Mountains with only a handful of friends and their two daughters.

The 38-year-old said the pair first met through a mutual friend and formed a close connection after he revealed had also lost his former partner and was left to raise his little girl alone.

His late wife, Geneviève Castrée, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2015, four months after the birth of their daughter and died 13 months later.

Speaking with Vanity Fair following her wedding, Michelle claimed she was always seeking the “radical acceptance” she felt from Heath.

“I always say to Matilda, ‘Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes,’” she said.

She now believed she has found that in Phil and their relationship has become, “very sacred and very special.”

“Obviously, I’ve never once in my life talked about a relationship, but Phil isn’t anyone else, and that’s worth something, ”she continued.

“Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free.”
