Cara Grace Duggan wrote to a seller on online sales site Gumtree asking about the juicer, wanting to buy one for her mother Kim who has cancer. After telling the seller in London her story, he offered to let her have it for free before ordering her a brand new one.

Duggan shared the generous gesture on Facebook. “Today I emailed a stranger on gumtree about a second hand 900w Nutribullet. We've been needing the higher wattage for mums supplements. I needed him to post from London so briefly explained why we wanted it. This is what happened....”

When Duggan received a message saying she had an order to collect, she wrote to the seller: “I’m confused. Did you buy a new one? How is it ready today?”

He replied: “Yes I bought the new one and it’s paid for. You just need to collect it… Don’t say thanks to me. In fact, thanks to you for giving me this opportunity.”
