Fans spot awkward mistake in Harry Potter reunion special
Harry Potter fans have spotted an awkward editing fail during the 20th anniversary Reunion special, with a childhood photo of Emma Roberts being used by mistake when it was meant to be Emma Watson.
Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger across the eight-film franchise, was reminiscing about how much the Harry Potter world was a part of her childhood, when the incorrect image appeared on screen.
One eagle-eyed viewer spotted the mistake in Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, sharing her discovery on Twitter, after finding the original photo Emma Roberts had posted on Instagram.
"GUYS HELP ME THATS LITERALLY EMMA ROBERTS NOT EMMA WATSON," the fan wrote alongside a screenshot of both images side by side.

At the time she captioned the photo with: "Minnie mouse ears!"

Plenty of other fans couldn't believe the mistake - which appears five minutes and 35 seconds into the episode, available for Aussie fans to view on BINGE - commenting on the post.
"Omg HOW does this happen," one person wrote.
"I knew something didn't look right lmao!!! How did this happen! Hilarious," another viewer responded.
"Omfg they showed this photo and I was like…that doesn't look like her?" was another comment.
The Harry Potter reunion special 'Return to Hogwarts' provided plenty of nostalgic moments for fans, as well as a few other surprises.
For example, prior to filming Order of the Phoenix, Emma Watson shared that she almost walked away from the franchise, explaining that she started feeling “lonely” in her fame. In conversation with Rupert Grint, she recalled feeling like her fame had reached a “tipping point,” and she realised her life as Hermione was “forever now.”
“The fame thing kind of hit me in a big way,” she remembered.
Ultimately, it was the encouragement of the fans and her cast and crew that made her realise she wanted to continue on in the wizarding journey.
Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe admitted that he was “an absolute dick” about Emma and Rupert's first on-screen kiss as Ron and Hermione, because he kept joking with his already nervous friends that he was going to “come on set and watch you guys kiss.”
