She’s well-known in Australia thanks to her role in Love Child and various local productions, but Harriet Dyer has now forged a successful career abroad.

The 31-year-old Australian actress has been working in the US, making her mark in Hollywood with a role on TV show, The InBetween and film, The Invisible Man.

During her recent visit to the Build Series Sydney studio, Harriet opened up about playing Cassie Bedford in the American supernatural drama TV series, The InBetween.

The actress explained that crossing over to darker content was a welcomed change and challenge from more light-hearted entertainment.

“It’s very hard to make people laugh, especially over and over again,” she explained.

“Funniness can die, but scary stuff, you really just have to hyperventilate a little bit and they’ll put some scary music under it and you’ve done it.
