The actress turned wellness purveyor, Gwyneth Paltrow has just launched a Goop cruise which will set you back a casual $9,400.
The lifestyle platform, Goop, has faced criticism in the past for its controversial health advice and its recently announced Netflix series called The Goop Lab.
The cruise, which Gwyneth announced on her Instagram account, is in collaboration with Celebrity Cruises and will take guests on a trip around Spain, France, and the Italian Riviera.
The 11-night trip has been described as a ‘wellness cruise’ and will leave Barcelona on 26 August this year.
Gwyneth and Goop’s COO, Elise Loehnen, will be on the ship for one day only on 30 August to host an event, which sounds much like her wellness summits and will involve exercise classes, treatments, workshops and other treats which are described as “Goopified perks”.
If you want to attend, you probably needed to start saving last decade.
The tickets cost $1,200 (for the actual wellness summit) but that’s only if you’ve already spent $7,800 on a suite room.
“We’ve had massive success within goop Health, our wellness summit that translates Goop’s content into a tangible, high-touch experience,” Gwyneth said.
“This partnership with Celebrity Cruises allows us to bring Goop to new audiences and to meet readers where they are. Goop’s brand DNA is based in curiosity, and curiosity is an essential component of travel.
“With Goop at Sea, we’ll be invoking that adventurous spirit with a series of transformative experiences led by a few of our most-trusted wellness practitioners and healers.”
The price of this experience is likely to put a lot of people off, but here’s a little look at what you’re getting for your money.
Suite Class has been described as ‘über-luxurious’ with in-room La Labo toiletries, access to a “seriously souped-up minibar” plus a butler and exclusive access to the fanciest places on the boat, which includes the Retreat Lounge.
As far as actual wellness goes, there’s pretty much everything you could wish for in the 14,000 square foot spa.
From a heated salt room for halotherapy to a Peloton biking, guests won’t be short of things to during their 11-night stay.
There will also be plenty of events to attend from ‘The Soul Session’, which has been designed to ground you to ‘The Mind Session’ to help you shift to a more positive outlook.
