Gwen Stefani nurses sick kitten back to health, gives him Blake Shelton's last name

Say hello to Corn Shelton.

A new member has joined the Stefani-Shelton clan.

Gwen Stefani on Thursday introduced social media followers to her new kitten, Corn Shelton, who has taken the last name of Stefani's husband, Blake Shelton. The "Just a Girl" singer and The Voice coach revealed that Corn was "so sick" and "hardly alive" when he showed up at their home, but "with a lot of love and nurturing," she has nursed the stray back to health.

"We're so grateful that he's a part of our family," Stefani added alongside a video montage of the cat.

Corn actually made a cameo in the season 26 premiere of The Voice on Monday night. His human currently presides on the panel of coaches alongside Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg, and the blind-auditions season opener saw Stefani assembling a team consisting of 29-year-old Jan Dan from Newark and 15-year-old Sydney Sterlace from Buffalo.

Stefani has another cat and a dog, as well as a bunch of farm animals, at the Oklahoma ranch she shares with Shelton, whom she wed in 2021. Her cat gave birth to six kittens last year, as documented by Stefani on social media. On the human front, Stefani is also mother to three sons with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

Shelton previously opened up to PEOPLE about stepfatherhood, sharing that the boys have taught him about "a different kind of self-worth."

"They've taught me something about myself that I never knew: I'm more than just a country singer or a goofy guy," he said in 2022. "I'm someone they actually lean on, and that's not a responsibility that I ever had and not something that I ever considered even being into."

Shelton added, "It's a different kind of self-worth. Maybe it's the opposite of self-worth because you put yourself way down on the rung, and they move up ahead of you."
