Sweet moment between Prince Charles and Greta Thunberg caught on camera

Greta Thunberg, one of the most well-known climate change activists in the world, and Prince Charles, the future King of England, have shared a sweet moment on camera.

The 17-year-old Swedish star and the Queen’s oldest son shook hands as they were introduced to each other at the World Economic Forum.

Posing for photographers, Greta can be heard in footage from the event asking Prince Charles: “I guess you’re very used to this?”

The Prince of Wales responds, saying: “This has taken many years to get used to.”

A surprised Greta responds, saying: “I’m still not used to it.”

Prince Charles gave a passionate keynote speech at the event which has been applauded online.

“Do we want to go down in history as the people who did nothing to bring the world back from the brink in time to restore the balance when we could have done?,” Charles started.

“I don’t want to. And just think for a moment - what good is all the extra wealth in the world, gained from ‘business as usual’, if you can do nothing with it except watch it burn in catastrophic conditions?”

Prince Charles went on to say that everything he’s tried to do over the past 50 years has been with his children and grandchildren in mind.

“Because I did not want to be accused by them of doing nothing except prevaricate and deny the problem,” Charles said.

“Now of course, they are accusing uf of exactly that. Put yourselves in their position Ladies and Gentlemen. We simply cannot waste any more time. The only limit is our willingness to act and the time to act is now.”

Charles speech comes just days after his son, Prince Harry, took to the podium himself for a Sentebale charity night in London.
