Gordon Ramsay Teases Daughter Holly's Boyfriend Adam Peaty as He Gets Ready to Compete in the Paris Olympics

“Don’t f--- this up,” Gordon said to the Team GB swimmer

Gordon Ramsay isn't one to go easy on his children's significant others.

BBC Sports released a conversation between the celebrity chef and Olympic gold medalist Adam Peaty on July 26. While most know the British swimmer, 29, for his talent in the water, Gordon knows him on a more personal level: He is his 24-year-old daughter Holly’s boyfriend.

The two spoke about Peaty’s Olympic journey. Peaty is competing in Paris for Team GB starting on July 27 in the men's 100 breaststroke. When the MasterChef star asked if the athlete will retire after Paris (his third Olympics), he responded, “Who knows?”

Gordon’s nagging grin seemed to playfully get in Peaty’s head. “You’re smiling, I’m not going to give you the pleasure of…I’m not gonna do it,” he joked. “You’re trapping me.”

With a hearty laugh, Gordon quipped, “You’re full of s---,” he said, adding, “You are definitely not retiring.”

The dad of six continued playing around with him. “Don’t f--- this up,” said Gordon. Peaty responded: “No pressure!”

All joking aside, the pair celebrated Peaty’s upcoming Olympic run, along with how he prepares for races.

“I think about happy moments — moments with Holly, with George,” he said of his son from a previous relationship. “Flooding the mind with optimism and hope until 10 minutes before that race.”

Despite his tough-guy persona, it’s clear Ramsay is a fan of Holly’s partner, whom she went Instagram official with on July 10, 2023.

“You’ve got a big heart, you take things personally like I do,” he said to the swimmer.

The cookbook author has come a long way when it comes to approving of his daughters’ partners. Along with Holly, he and wife Tana share Megan, 26, Jack, 24, daughter Tilly, 22, Oscar, 5, and Jesse, 8 months.

During a 2022 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Gordon admitted that he's "so naughty sometimes" to the guys in their lives.

"I just want the girls to be looked after, and for them to look after each other," he said. "You're always anxious about that."

As an example, Ramsay discussed Megan's boyfriend at the time, Byron, whom she started seeing again after a split.

"He was okay to begin with," Ramsay said. "A bit wet. A little bit sort of... you want a man to date your daughter and he was just, a little bit pathetic."

"I want to kill the little f---er, I kid you not," Ramsay joked.
