Gogglebox star Adam Densten engaged

Gogglebox Australia star Adam Densten, 29, has popped the question to his long-term girlfriend, Rachel Falconer – and she said ‘yes!’

The pair got engaged on Monday after reportedly dating for three years, and Adam’s method of proposing was very much in line with his funny on-screen persona.

First, he presented his wife-to-be with two ‘decoy’ rings in the form of a cinnamon doughnut and a Cheezel before sliding an Art Deco-inspired sparkler by Melbourne jeweller Keshett on her finger.

“Borrowing a few lines from the tale of Goldilocks. 1. This one was too big. 2. This one was too small. 3. This one was juuuust right,” he captioned the trio of pics on his Instagram account.

Celebs say congrats

Adam’s celebrity pals have flooded the comments section to congratulate the happy couple.

“YEEEWWWW YEWWWWW YEEEWWWWW SOOOO MUCH EXCITEMENT!!!!!” wrote Adam’s Gogglebox co-star and fellow novelty sock-wearer Symon Lovett.

“Get out?! How good! Congrats you two!!!” jumped in former co-star Angie Kent, who went on to star in the most recent season of The Bachelorette.

“Congrats guys!!! Great news xx” added Angie’s fellow ex-Goggleboxer Yvie Jones, who departed the show in December 2018.

Other castmembers featured on the popular TV show including the Daltons, the Jacksons and Lee and Keith also shared their well wishes.

“I AM JUST SO BLOODY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!” ex-Bachelorette Georgia Love commented, while her fiancé Lee Elliott also offered his thoughts.

“The most incredible news!!! Congratulations team!!!” he wrote.

Child Genius host and wife to The Project’s Waleed Aly Susan Carland simply said, “Wooooooooo!”

The beaming groom and bride-to-be later shared a goofy snap to Adam’s Instagram Stories thanking their followers for their kind thoughts.

Adam and Symon quit Gogglebox

Adam announced that he and his Gogglebox couch mate Symon were departing the show after five years back in November.

The witty pair continue to co-host a podcast together, the Adam & Symon Show, although it appears they’re on the hunt for a new gig.

Both men have “Current Free Agent” in their Instagram bios, suggesting they’re open to job offers.
