Gogglebox's Adam Densten reveals hilarious baby story: 'Worst name’

Gogglebox star Adam Densten has shared the sweet news that his baby girl named Celia Kate arrived a month earlier than expected.

Speaking on his podcast, The Adam & Symon Show, the reality TV star revealed how little notice he had before the baby’s birth, after his wife Rachel Falconer went into early labour while their baby was in a breach position.

“She’s four weeks before the due date. I’ve got a month before I need to be a dad,” he said.

Adam mentioned he hadn’t even bought a car seat when his wife called him and said not only was she in early labour, but the obstetrician said the baby needs to come out soon, giving Adam only 45 minutes to make it to the hospital.

“[I was] a bit frazzled. I was like, not ready…I’m walking around, a little bit like a zombie,” he recalled.

The new dad then went on to tell a hilarious story involving their daughter’s name. When their midwife asked what the baby’s name was, the couple said, “Celia Kate Densten.” The midwife thought they had chosen ‘Cecelia’, so the couple corrected her and said, “No, just Celia.”

When asking the midwife later what the worst baby name she’s heard in the past week, her answer was unexpected.

“And she goes, ‘Oh, to be honest, I thought it was going to be yours. When you said it’s just Celia, I thought her name was J’Celia. The worst name I’d ever heard in my life as a midwife.”

The podcast host shared the first baby photos of Celia Kate on Monday, admitting that the pair had kept their baby news quiet for three weeks, while the couple adjusted to being parents.

People were surprised, and many sent their blessings.

“She’s absolutely perfect legends! Cannot wait to meet her!” one wrote.

“Ahhhh so exciting! What a little cutie!” a second added.

“So cute…and the baby’s not bad either,” another joked.
