Everyone is living in a weird time right now, and self-care has become tantamount to maintaining a sense of stability. The newest Glossier Body Hero campaign invites viewers into the self-care routines of WNBA players while quarantined in the WNBA bubble — or in this case, the “Wubble.”

It’s been three years since the first wave of Glossier Body Hero products. Initially highlighting an oil cleanser and a body lotion, the brand is now unveiling two new body care items: the Body Hero Exfoliating Bar and the Body Hero Dry-Touch Oil Mist. Plus, WNBA players Sue BirdSeimone AugustusLexie BrownKalani BrownAmanda Zahui B., Natalie AchonwaStefanie Dolson and Gabby Williams self-shot their daily routines for the campaign according to a press release.

Glossier’s blog, Into The Gloss spoke to the players in the campaign, in which they each discussed their beauty routines and what it means to be a woman and an athlete.

“Women in sports already get trolled for nothing, so of course we also get trolled when our beauty isn’t on point,” said Seimone Augustus, Guard for the Los Angeles Sparks. “It’s very hard to go to work and do the job that we do and look like a beauty queen.”

The campaign gives a voice to those who use their body for their job. And even if you don’t in your own personal life, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat yourself any less.

After trying the Body Hero Exfoliating bar for myself, it’s one of the most moisturizing soap bars I’ve tried. It exfoliates the skin with biodegradable bamboo powder. Plus, the soap bar softens the skin with ingredients like sunflower seed oil and aloe leaf juice. The groove on the backside of the namesake bar even lets you add a bit of the brand’s oil cleanser for added moisture in your washing process.

Now, for a body oil, this one doesn’t leave you feeling drenched after application. It’s actually super absorbing. I’d even say I have a luxurious experience when applying this oil. Sunflower seed oil, grapeseed oil and oat oil work together to moisturize dry, tight skin. For me, it almost gives the skin the same feeling as the Glossier Hand Cream — but all over. You can use it on dry skin to moisturize post-shower. Though, to lock in moisture, apply it when your skin is still slightly damp.

The Glossier Body Hero products are all now offered in a variety of bundles. If you want the entire line, you can swipe it all for $70. Plus, all of the products are vegan, alcohol-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, silicone-free and GMO-free.

Taking care of your body is essential now more than ever — whether you’re the average person or a WNBA player.
