“New Girl ”Cast Congratulates Lamorne Morris After Big Win at Emmys 2024: 'Never a Doubt in My Mind'

Hannah Simone, Max Greenfield, Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson all celebrated their former costar after his major win for his role in 'Fargo'

The New Girl cast is celebrating Lamorne Morris' Emmy win like it's their own!

Morris, 41, won his first-ever Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in a limited or anthology series or movie his role in Fargo on Sept. 15. In the aftermath, his former castmates, including Hannah Simone, Max Greenfield and Nasim Pedrad, took to Instagram to congratulate him on the win.

"Never a doubt in my mind," Simone, 44, who played Cece on the series, wrote on her Instagram Stories. "So proud of my former roommate and forever work brother ❤️."

Greenfield, 45, reposted a clip of Morris being announced as the winner to his Instagram Stories and tagged the actor, along with a "👑."

Pedrad, who played Morris' wife Aly on the show, reposted Morris' post and wrote, "Heart bursting @lamorne ❤️🥳❤️."

Damon Wayans Jr., who played Coach on New Girl, reposted a clip of Morris' acceptance speech, writing, "My Guyyyyy!!!!! @lamorne with the Emmy win!! 🙌🏾."

Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson were the only cast members not to post following Morris' win, but they did celebrate him in the comments of his Instagram post, which featured a photo of his engraved Emmy.

"This is for y'all. My insane fans. Love y'all," Morris captioned the post, and Deschanel, 44, commented, "So proud of you!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳," while Johnson, 46, wrote, "deserved man. congrats."

Brett Goldstein, Jamie Foxx, Adam Devine and Eiza Gonzalez also left comments celebrating Morris' win.

"Now it's time to collect them all. Egot's to have em!" Devine wrote, while Gonzalez said she "never screamed harder" than when he won, and Foxx wrote, "Biggups!!"

The Ted Lasso star wrote, "Yeeeeeeesssssss🎉🎉🎉🎉."

When Morris was nominated in July, he jokingly thanked the Television Academy "for finally recognizing all my hard work on New Girl" in a statement.

"Although I believe it’s a lock, I do see I’m nominated alongside Robert Downey Jr. who stole my role in Tropic Thunder. My fellow nominees and I won’t let this slide," his statement continued.

In his acceptance speech, he mentioned Downey Jr. again as he said, "My fellow nominees, Robert Downey Jr. — I got a poster of you at my house, please sign it. Seriously."
