George Clooney Sends Bold Message to Quentin Tarantino

George Clooney recently shared his unfiltered opinion on famed director Quentin Tarantino—and he definitely didn't mince words.

During a new interview for GQ Magazine published on Tuesday, Aug. 13, the Ticket to Paradise actor got brutally honest about Tarantino, who he admitted has been getting on his bad side lately.

"Quentin said some shit about me recently, so I'm a little irritated by him" Clooney, 63, said during the new interview, which is a joint cover story with his good friend and fellow actor Brad Pitt.

Clooney went on to claim that, "[Tarantino] did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about [Pitt], and somebody else, and then this guy goes, 'Well, what about George?' He goes, 'He's not a movie star.' And then he literally said something like, 'Name me a movie since the millennium.' And I was like, 'Since the millennium? That's kind of my whole f—king career."

And Clooney isn't wrong, as some of his most famous and Oscar-nominated roles took place after the start of 2001. Among them are Oceans Eleven (2001), Syriana (2005), Michael Clayton (2007), The Ides of March (2011) and The Descendants (2011), just to name a few.

Pitt—who worked with Tarantino, who directed him to an Oscar in 2019's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood—seemed to find some amusement in Clooney's comments, letting out a laugh during the conversation, even though he most likely has a healthier relationship with the award-winning director.

Clooney worked with Tarantino on From Dusk Til Dawn in 1996, where Tarantino played his brother. While Pitt tried to say that Tarantino was "pretty good" in the film, Clooney fired back, "He was okay in it."

But in light of recent events, Clooney didn't feel bad throwing some shade Tarantino's way.

"So now I'm like all right, dude, f—k off. I don't mind giving him shit. He gave me shit."

Sounds fair enough.
