The Genius Recipe That Has Us Rushing Out to Buy Boxed Brownie Mix

I will admit to being someone who licks the spoon after making brownie batter. Who can resist all that chocolatey, sweet goodness? Of course, some people are hesitant about eating raw brownie batter because it typically contains raw eggs and raw flour, which both carry risks of foodborne illness.

To safely enjoy that delicious brownie batter taste, you can make a brownie batter dip, like the fun version that was shared by content creator @rachlmansfield. It will completely change the way you see—and eat—boxed brownie mix!

How to Make Brownie Batter Dip

In a recent Instagram post, Rachel shared her recipe for a decadent Brownie Batter Dip and we can't wait to make this! Yes, you read that right- this is a brownie batter dip that does not include raw eggs, which makes it safer to eat raw.

Rachel doesn't call this out in her recipe, but to make sure the flour is safe to eat, you should heat treat it first. To do that, you can pour the brownie mix into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it until it reaches 165°. Some sources say this should take about 1 minute. Other sources prefer to heat the brownie mix in 45-second increments in the microwave, stirring it after each increment. Three 45-second bursts should get the brownie mix up to the correct temperature. You can also bake the brownie mix in the oven. Spread it out on a baking sheet and bake it at 350° for about 8 minutes. Again, you're looking to take it to 165°. Let the mix cool and carry on with the recipe.

In addition to the brownie mix, you'll need eight ounces of cream cheese, one tub of Cool Whip, chocolate chips and some milk (any kind will do). You'll also need something to serve it with, like strawberries, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, chocolate cookies or apples.

To make this dip, mix all of the ingredients, minus the chocolate chips, until it's well-blended. Then, top with chocolate chips and serve cold with the fruit and cookies of your choice. This dessert is really that easy to make and looks absolutely incredible!

"Heaven," someone commented on Rachel's Instagram post. It does look out-of-this-world delicious!

This dip is perfect for birthday parties, bridal showers and brunches, and it's easy to customize. You could top the dip with mini marshmallows, chocolate sauce, caramel and peanut butter. You can serve it with pretzels, animal crackers raspberries and grapes.
