Gemma Ward welcomes second child

Supermodel Gemma Ward has given birth to her second child.

The stunning 28-year-old announced the new arrival on Instagram alongside an adorable snap of her precious little boy.

“Beautiful boy,” she captioned the black and white picture, later appearing in a video with the as yet unnamed baby and his three-year-old sister, Naia, who can be seen lovingly cooing over him.

Gemma announced in July that she and her partner, photographer and model David Letts, were expecting their second child.

Ward confirmed the exciting news over Instagram by posting an ultrasound video online.

“Yes we are expecting our 2nd," she captioned the video.

The couple already have a two-year-old daughter, Naia, together and Ward previously claimed her daughter wanted a little sister.

“Naia is really happy about my pregnancy,” Ward told Be back in August.

“She wants a girl baby for mummy. One of the reasons I actually wanted another child was seeing her with other kids, especially babies. She goes up to them and cups their cheeks and waves their hands in the air. It’s so cute! She’s so interactive with babies, so I’m really excited to see her with our new bub.”

Ward took to the catwalk in August for the David Jones Spring/Summer show, just one month after announcing her pregnancy.

“I feel like I’m a bit slower on the catwalk because of my bump,” Ward told Be.

“But apart from that it’s all good. I was quite happy that David Jones wanted to embrace my pregnancy.”

The mother-of-one also hinted that her adorable daughter may enter the modeling world one day and follow in her successful mother's footsteps.

“I am in a unique position where I can mentor her (Naia) and tell her what to expect and also what to look out for because there are a lot of pitfalls and things you need to look out for," Ward told The Daily Telegraph.

“I think I would be quite protective but I wouldn’t dissuade her.”

The Perth model, who has been on the cover of Vogue, was famously discovered at the age of 14 while accompanying a group of friends to a modelling competition.

She was snapped up by New York agency IMG for her "doll-like" features and went on to be named among the world’s 15 top-grossing models by Forbes with campaigns with the likes of Givenchy, Calvin Klein and Valentino under her belt.
