It’s been ~ 84 years ~ since we’ve seen Gerry Turner attempt to find love on our screens during his inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor. Now, a whole other spinoff (hello @ The Golden Bachelorette!) later, fans are still holding out hope (and maybe even their Life Alert buttons 👀) for a continuation of the highly-watched franchise. Enter: rumblings of The Golden Bachelor season 2 flooding in thanks to a casting call that’s been taking Bachelor Nation by storm.

‘Kay, is The Golden Bachelor season 2 actually happening?
All signs point to yes, tbh! Case in point? (1) ABC legit aired commercials during the last few episodes of Joan Vassos’ Golden Bachelorette season asking participants to enter as the next Golden Bachelor, and (2) the Bachelor Nation website recently put out a casting call for women wanting to become contestants in the upcoming season of The Golden Bachelor.

Oh, and according to Showbiz Cheatsheet, one of the questions on the latter application actually majorly hints at when the second season will start filming. Apparently, participants are asked whether they’ll have any commitments during June and August 2025, so do with that what you will (i.e. tell your grandma to cancel her cruise stat). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The application process *also* reportedly includes questions about the potential contestants’ past records and their favorite men from The Golden Bachelorette season 1. The more ya know!
P.S. While ABC has yet to release an official statement about the exact filming dates/The Golden Bachelor season 2 in general, the casting call seems to imply that cameras will 100 percent start rolling this upcoming summer.

*Le sigh* Sadly, we have no idea, but (!!!) there are a number of contestants that we’ve got our eyes on. Ahem:
In general, however, people have high-key been obsessed with Kelsey Anderson’s extremely hot dad, Mark Anderson, ever since he blessed our screens during Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor when the Dancing With the Stars contestant first met his now-fiancée’s family.
Mark then got in front of the camera again during Joan’s inaugural Golden Bachelorette season and made it pretty far before getting eliminated juuuuust before Hometowns. In a November 6 interview with The Wrap, the reality star opened up about the possibility of becoming the next leading man on The Golden Bachelor.
“I’d definitely consider it; it’s been a fantastic experience for me,” he confessed to the outlet before noting that “it’s something to think about—I’m not an instant no person.” He then admitted that he would think about the sitch and discuss it with his kids before making the final call.
How-ev-er (!!!), there are rumors that Mark might currently be out here dating actor Barbara Alyn Woods based on several 👀 TikToks of the two. I mean...
Only time will tell how things will unfold in Mark’s own ~journey~, but Kelsey, for her part, dished to Us Weekly back in October that she would be totally in support of her dad helming the series: “If that’s what he wants to do, I would fully support him. I think that my dad has grown so much through this journey of The Golden Bachelorette. So, yeah, I would 100 percent be excited for him and support him.”
So...when is The Golden Bachelor season 2 airing?
