Fun Fact: Lindsay Lohan’s Husband Bader Shammas Is, Like, RICH Rich

Lindsay Lohan’s current status: living her best life. Our girl is a new mom, a Netflix movie queen, and happily married to Bader Shammas—who, btw, is ridiculously, mind-blowingly wealthy. (Not that it matters!! But still, it’s a bonus.) The two were first romantically linked back in 2020 before tying the knot in April 2022, and while not much is known about the Dubai-based financier, we do know that his net worth is kiiiiinda ridiculous. Just how wealthy is he? Lucky for you, we’re nosy, so we did a deep dive to find out.

The thing is, Bader is MAJORLY private, so getting any info about him is pretty tough. Funnily enough, that seems to be one of the things LiLo loves most about him, as she basically manifested him not long before they met. As she said during a 2019 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, “I want to date a guy that’s a businessman, doesn’t have Instagram, doesn’t have social media, and is completely off the grid in terms of that kind of stuff.” Wish granted!

But before we get into Bader’s business, there are a few need-to-know facts about him that directly impact his massive net worth. For starters...

Bader Started His Career in Investment Banking

After graduating from University of Tampa in 2012 with a bachelor’s in finance, per his LinkedIn, Bader began working for the investment bank BNP Paribas, where he spent 3.5 years in the Kuwait office (according to his private Facebook page, he’s actually from Kuwait originally) and six months in the Bahrain office before settling in Dubai.

In Dubai, he shifted his focus from corporate banking to private wealth management. Then, after nearly five years with BNP Paribas, Bader started working for Credit Suisse, where he eventually became assistant vice president. As a source told The Sun back in 2021, “[Bader] is a legitimate guy. He’s not an actor, he’s not in the entertainment industry, he manages funds for high net worth people at Credit Suisse.”

He’s Now a Seed Investor

According to his LinkedIn, Bader left Credit Suisse at the end of 2021 and became a seed investor in Tecoda, the first-to-market hard seltzer made from fermented agave.

He also invested in and serves as a board member for FLUUKY, a Bahrain-based start-up that supports reforestation programs through luxury auctions.

He’s Reportedly From a “Prominent” Family

Though Bader likes to keep his private life *extremely* private, Page Six reported in 2021 that LiLo’s husband is part of “one of the most prominent families in Kuwait.” According to the publication, the Shammas (who are originally from Turkey) are considered one of Kuwait’s first Christian families, with most of Kuwait’s Christians descending from 12 large families.

“Lindsay wanted to be very careful about maintaining Bader’s family’s privacy and not upsetting them,” a source noted at the time, later adding, “His family is extremely private, so who knows how they will handle all of this. I just know that Lindsay want to be protective of them.”

So...What Is Bader’s Net Worth?

Here is where things get confusing. Various sites estimate that Bader’s net worth stands somewhere between $4 million and $100 million, so it’s safe to say no one has any real idea. But between his investments, his banking career, and his distinguished family (who may or may not have contributed to his wealth), it seems like Bader is doing juuuuuust fine.

Plus, he and Lindsay have that four-bedroom villa overlooking Kite Beach in Dubai that’s reportedly worth $4 million, so they can always sell that if they’re in a bind!
