French-American Rapper Lucas Coly Dead at 27 After Heartbreaking Last Social Media Post

French-American rapper and social media influencer Lucas Coly has reportedly died at 27, his manager confirmed on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Coly, who first became famous on Vine more than 10 years ago with videos in both English and French, was famous for the song "I Just Wanna." He has over 1 million followers on Instagram and half a million on his YouTube page. No cause of death has been given at this time.

"Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here," Coly's manger wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, NBC New York reported. "There’s a hole in my heart right now Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans. So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other."

The message reportedly continued, "I don’t know what to do now. Id be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same. Honestly Lucas it hasn’t set in yet because I refuse to believe you are gone. Heart ripped to shreds. God send him back here. Please 💔 I’m broken over here #riplucascoly #checkonyourfriends."

According to Us Weekly, Coly's manager asked for prayers for the rapper's girlfriend, Amber, on Facebook.

“I’m not OK. Pray for Amber y’all,” he wrote, adding that he was on the phone with Coly “moments before” he died. “He loved all of his fans. 2024 has been the worst year of my life. Lucas was more of a brother to me than my client.”

“Amber will confirm the news when she is ready," he continued. "Please give her time to process and heal. When the funeral arrangements are set, I will post them here.”

A few hours before his manager shared the news of his passing, Coly posted “I love y’all” with an orange heart emoji to his Instagram Story.
