1. Preheat grill. Combine olive oil, agave nectar, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper in a small dish.
2. Stand figs upright on a baking tray. Cut a cross into the top of each fig, without cutting right through the fruit.
3. Gently open figs and brush with oil mixture; top with goat’s cheese and walnuts. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer figs to a serving plate, sprinkle with chervil and serve immediately.
