Woman finds snake head in a can of green beans

When you buy food from the supermarket, you generally assume it's safe to eat, but on the rare occasion you hear a freak story, like the spider in the salad bag.

When this Utah woman cracked open her can of green beans, she didn't find a spider but she discovered one darker, slimier bean among the lot.

Troy Walker got the shock of her life when she discovered her can of pre-cooked vegetables contained more than just green beans. One green been had eyes and turned out to be a severed snake head.

The woman made the gross discovery last week while preparing a meal at a Mormon church in Farmington, Utah.

Walker told the reporter at the local TV station KSL she was spooning the green beans from a slow cooker when she spotted a bean that looked a little off.

"It looked pretty much like a burnt bean, and then as I got closer to lift it off the spoon, I saw eyes," Walker said, "That's when I just dropped it and screamed."

Walker then returned the can and the snake head to the store where she bought it, and said she feared someone else might end up getting cans containing pieces of the snake’s body.

The maker of the green beans, Western Family, said they take foreign bodies in their foods very seriously and are conducting an investigation into the incident.

Since, all green bean cans from the store and others in the surrounding area have pulled from the shelves.

Surprisingly, Walker told the reporter she wasn’t upset about what happened but doesn't plan on tucking into green beans for a while.

Who could blame her.
