Man Shocks Doctors By Frying Food With His Bare Hands

An Indian chef has astounded doctors by being able to put his hands in 200-degree water without consequence.

60-year-old Ram Babu, who runs a food stall in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, says he has never suffered a burn injury even though he cooks with his hands every day.

"I've been doing this since I was young," said Babu. "I don't know anything else."

Babu first started his stall at the tender age of 20, and it quickly became one of the most popular food stalls in town. The demand for supply forced him to forgo utensils and use his hands instead - and he hasn't looked back since.

"Many people come here and request me to take out the snacks with my bare hands," said Babu. "I do it just to please them. For me, it's like dipping my hands in water."

Babu says doctors have taken samples of his skin, but they can't work out why it doesn't react like everyone else's when exposed to 200-degree heat.

In this case though, it seems to be something Babu has accepted without concern.

"This is a blessing for me," he said. "I might not be a big man but at least I'm famous."
