Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck has announced the menu for the biggest party of the year, the post-Oscars Governor's Ball.PHOTOS: Take a sneak peek at the delicious Oscars 2013 dishes:
Puck has planned over 50 dishes for the feast, including the exquisite-sounding Japanese baby peach salad and the inimitable classic, Tuna Nicoise (see New Idea Food Director Barb Northwood prepare her version in the video below).
Also on the menu is vegan-friendly kale salad with grilled artichoke, and a beet salad with spiced walnut.
Omnivores will be chowing down on steamed red snapper with Thai spice, chicken pot pie with shaved black truffles, and mini Kobe beef burgers.
The nominees who missed out on a coveted gold statuette will be able to take home one of Puck's signature gold-dusted mini-chocolate Oscars.
It's hard not to be awed at the dinner's scale: there will be a reported 300 chefs, 650 waiters and 1500 guests, among them the who's who of Hollywood, including George Clooney and Jessica Chastain.[[BLOCK:Feature|

With the red carpet done with and the ceremony finished, Puck expects his guests to be ravenous by the time dinner is served.
"Nobody eats lunch that day, so by nine o'clock, anybody who would be on a diet is no longer on that diet," he told media.
Puck published his first book, Modern French Cooking for the American Kitchen, back in 1981, and with his then-wife Barbara Lazaroff opened the acclaimed restaurant Spago on the Sunset Strip in LA the following year.
He now heads Wolfgang Puck Companies, a culinary empire that trades in everything from fine dining restaurants to canned food. This year will be the 19th time he has catered the Academy Awards dinner.
