Foo Fighters Cancel Soundside Music Festival Appearance amid Dave Grohl's Secret Baby Revelation
Earlier this month, the Foo Fighters frontman revealed to fans he recently welcomed a baby outside of his marriage
The Foo Fighters have pulled out of a planned festival appearance weeks after frontman Dave Grohl revealed he recently welcomed a baby outside of his marriage.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, the band announced on Instagram that they "will no longer be appearing" at this weekend's Soundside Music Festival — where they had been set to headline day two of the event — in Bridgeport, Conn. (Jack White is now scheduled to fill Foo Fighters' slot.)
Earlier this month, Grohl, 55, shared a statement on his Instagram account, telling fans that he had welcomed a "new baby daughter."
"I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness," wrote Grohl, who has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003. "We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."
While the couple — who are parents to daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10 — have not publicly addressed the state of their marriage, multiple sources told PEOPLE Blum has known "for a while" about Grohl's baby news.
"She was shocked when she found out... Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her," said a Blum friend.
Through the recent upheaval in their marriage, Grohl and Blum, 48, have been prioritizing their kids, said insiders.
"She's a great mom and very dedicated to their daughters," added another source.
The couple marked their 21st wedding anniversary in August and were photographed attending Wimbledon in London in July, where they sat side by side and were seen mingling with Duran Duran rocker Simon Le Bon.
