Delta Goodrem Makes A Surprise Appearance At Carla Zampatti's Show

Whenever there’s a Carla Zampatti show on, one thing is guaranteed: it’s going to be a star-studded affair.

Today’s presentation, held at Zampatti’s gorgeous home in Woollahra, was no different. Front-row fashion fans, including Jessica Gomes and Anna Heinrich, were treated to a surprise appearance by Aussie songstress Delta Goodrem who sashayed casually down the runway dressed in an off-the-shoulder brocade gold design.

Goodrem was joined by a host of Australia’s top model talent, all wearing signature Carla Zampatti designs including a perfectly tailored white pantsuit and flowing, Grecian-inspired dress.

This season there was a hint of the exotic threaded through the collection – the result of Zampatti partnering with Romance Was Born designers Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales, who styled the show.

Wide-brimmed hats and waists were interwoven with palm fronds, while chunky, heavy bangles adorned the wrist of every model.

“(Romance Was Born) are a very talented pair, I think probably our most creative talent in Australia today,” Zampatti said last week.

“I thought the contrast between experience and innovation is really what makes fashion exciting. They’re very respectful of what I do and I love what they do — it’s a mutual appreciation of each other’s work. I have a special feeling about it.”

As it turns out, she was right on the mark, with the show culminating in an effortless fusion of the best in Australian fashion.
