This Wedding Dress Is Made Entirely Out Of Cake

A cake sculptor in the US has blown all her competition out of the water by creating a wedding gown made entirely out of cake.

Sylvia Elba worked on the dress for 300 hours alongside Yvette Marner, founder of Fun N Funky Cakes, and artist Ilinka Rnic – and the results are completely life-like.

Weighing in at 70 kilograms, the dress is accessorised with 35kgs of fondant, three kgs of cake lace and around 2,000 sheets of wafer paper, making it a much more exciting option for brides than silk chiffon.

The impressive frock will be showcased at the two-day Cake International exhibition in Alexandra Palace, London which kicks off on Saturday.

The question on everyone’s lips is, who gets the honour of devouring the cake?
