Everything You Need To Know About The Balmain Show At PFW

Olivier Rousteing presented his Autumn/Winter 2016 collection for Balmain at Paris Fashion Week overnight and the #BalmainArmy were out in full force.

Kendall Jenner opened the show in a platinum blonde wig, and was joined on the runway by bestie Gigi Hadid - who went brunette for the occasion.

The pair were also joined by a host of 'It' models including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Lily Donaldson, Sara Sampaio and Stella Maxwell.

"Curves are really important today," Rousteing said backstage of the collection, "because the women of today are really curvy, and they’re an inspiration, like hip-hop stars, reality stars."

The designer favoured a monochrome palette this season, with head-to-toe pastels in icy greys, pinks and blues however he also stayed true to his signature metallics alongside plenty of black.

Of course it wouldn't be Balmain without all the stunning embellishments, embroidery and beading, which was still very present, this season off set with feathers, ruffles and brocade.

As well as the famous models taking stride on the runway, the show's casting was a step forward in diversity, with models from an array of different backgrounds walking the show.

Newcomers Genesis Vallejo and Dilone made a name for themselves alongside bigger names including Jourdan Dunn, Lineisy Montero, Ming Xi and Maria Borges.
