We Are Handsome designers Katinka Somers and Jeremy Somers have been listening to Jay Z's Jungle on replay while they create their 90's-inspired new collection.

The duo's style motto is "dress for the weather" and we'll be sure to keep a lookout for colour clashing, high ponytails, hyper graphics and strong prints at Thursday's show.

"We have a print for every personality in an array of colours but we think a striking all over print in a strong tone is a go-to look for the season," they told Yahoo7 Lifestyle.

Going with a slightly different melodic vibe, TOME's Ryan Lobo is loving Sinnerman by Nina Simone as he works on his Nina Simone-inspired collection.

Tying in pretty perfectly, he believes the print for the season is "loud 60s florals" and he always lives by the style motto: "Feel comfortable and you will look great".

Rihanna's Work is at the top of Dion Lee's playlist this Fashion Week for his new collection, which started with the abstract idea of glass, reflective surfaces and the refraction of colour and then adapted into sculptural shapes, the splicing of sheer and opaque and transparent embellishment..

As for the must-wear print or colour for the season, Lee recommends Ivory and acid yellow and says he always goes with by the motto: "Less is more".

Camilla Franks has been listening to Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones while she works on her African-themed collection.

As for her must-wear print of the season, Camilla is all about vibrant, bright colours and believes people shouldn't be afraid of branching out.

"Africa is such a vibrant place; the eye is constantly being caught by different patterns or color ways," she told Yahoo7 Lifestyle.

"I want this collection to be a true celebration of Africa’s vibrancy, so don’t be afraid to print and colour clash. Own it."

By Johnny designer Johnny Schembri has been jamming to It Means I Love You by Jessy Lanza as he created his new collection inspired by the ease of the season, think holiday dressing with fluid hem lines and moment throughout the collection in neutral easy to wear colours.

"The must-wear print for this season will be Polka Dots and Floral which is featured throughout my fashion week collection," Schembri said.

Bec & Bridge designers Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston are somewhat more coy about their musical influence, claiming they've just been listening to all the great tracks we’re using in their runway show.

"It keeps us motivated and in the mood of the collection," they said.

"Our colour palette consists of soft pastels mixed with raw and earthy tones of terracotta, rust and mustards.

And as for their style motto?

"Simple yet significant," they said.
