Rihanna Thinks Her Manolo Blahnik Chap Boots Are Too 'Dangerous' For Dates

Rihanna's Nine to Five Manolo Blahnik boots are "too dangerous" to wear on a date - because they are so sexy.

The 28-year-old songstress has warned women against wearing the knee high holster-style denim lace up platforms from the Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik Denim Desserts range - which she designed alongside the 73-year-old fashion designer - because they are lethal to men's libidos.

Speaking to Vogue Online about the jaw-dropping footwear, she quipped: "Girl! Those boots are dangerous! If you're trying to get back home to your bed, don't wear them boots!

"You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble."

Discussing their fashion collaboration, the partners have revealed they didn't share the same vision for their collection.

Founder of the luxury brand Manolo said: "We talk about high heels. She wants heels! I was like, 'No, no, you can be sexy and beautiful with a flat shoe.' But no! She wanted high heels, and I loved that and I respect that. I like a woman who knows what she wants."

The 'Work' hitmaker has always been a fan of the Spanish creative ever since she spotted his footwear on 'Sex and The City'.

Speaking about Carrie Bradshaw's Manolo-filled wardrobe, she said: "They were a classic, a pump with a little brooch on the front.

"I mean, the way they talked about those shoes! It made any woman want to get them! You ended up making that style again and I got them in two colours."

And the extent of her infatuation with the brand saw Rihanna's friend attend Manolo's signing because she couldn't, she said: "I couldn't be there, but I told my friend to pull everything they had in my size. I bought 10 pairs. And she took them to get them signed by you. And you were so generous because you signed every last pair."

Although, Manolo did not know who she was.

Asked whether he knew Rihanna, he said: "No, nothing, nothing at all.

"[But] I knew she was fabulous in her videos."
