Marie Claire Cover Girl Pia Miller On Being More Than Just 'Nice-Looking'

Home and Away actress Pia Miller is undoubtedly a true beauty, but she wants you to know that there is more to her than her looks.

The 32-year-old actress, who moved from her native Chilie to Prahan in Melbourne when she was just four-years-old, has landed the cover spot on Marie Claire Australia's June issue and has opened up about her early life as a model, being a teenage mum and her new boyfriend Tyson Mullane.

Miller, who is a mother to 13-year-old Isaiah and nine-year-old Lennox, divulged to the magazine about her younger days as a model after she won the famed Dolly modelling competition at just 14-years-old and praises her mum for keeping her grounded as a teen.

"My mum did an incredible job of making me understand that modelling didn't define who I was." she says in the interview.

"She nurtured my character.

"Being part of a really strong family network helped me remember I was something other than just 'nice-looking'".

Miller, who plays cop Katrina Chapman on Australia's favourite soap. also talked about her "surprise" pregnancy at the age of 19, claiming Isaiah's birth was a "life-changing" moment for her.

"I knew that regardless of what happened relationship-wise or career-wise, that I could do it," she said.

"I knew that having a little person beside me, regardless of where I was at in my life and what I was doing, is how I'd be happiest."

Last October Miller, who is up for a Logie at this weekend's awards show, announced her shock split from partner of 10 years Brad Miller.

While she's coy about their co-parenting in the interview, Miller claims her former other-half will always be part of her life.

Speaking about her new man, Sydney film producer Tyson Mullane, Miller treads carefully, claiming their relationship is in the "early days" and all her energy is focused on making sure her sons are happy.
