Is there anything more infuriating than someone telling you to smile?

Even moreso if you happen to suffer from Bitchy Resting Face (yes, it's a thing).

Apparently, Girl Meets World actress Rowan Blanchard agrees with us - the 14-year old took to social media to plead with her fans to please stop asking her to crack a smile.

"Plz stop telling me to smile on Instagram I'm going insaaannnneeee," she wrote. "I post on my Instagram what I like :) if I want to smile I will!! Nothing more than that. I wish people would stop reading into things.

"I don't think people realise how rude and hurtful it can be to just see comments where people say 'Are you depressed?' when depression is a serious and personal thing that affects a ton of people.

"Funny how people think my Instagram means I'm depressed, yet when people who are actually depressed talk about their depression people make light of it and say that they are 'overreacting,'" she wrote across three additional tweets.

Her tweets caught the attention of Kerry Washington, who also weighed in on the debate:

So there you have it - if you're one of the above offenders, please stop asking people to smile!

You've been warned.
