Johnny Depp 'disturbed' by daughter's success

Last week, Johnny Depp admitted he was worried about his daughter, Lily-Rose, and her burgeoning film career.

The 52-year old told Gala magazine, "To be honest, I'm quite worried. I wasn't expecting all this to happen to Lily-Rose, especially not at this age. But it's her passion and she's having fun."

This week, Depp is still talking about it: and this time, he says her career is "completely unexpected" (really, Johnny - have you seen the kid's cheekbones?).

But although Depp concedes he "never dreamed" Lily-Rose would follow him into the movie industry, he's proud of what she's already achieved (up next: she's been cast alongside Natalie Portman in 'Planetarium').

"What is happening with Lily-Rose is something I didn't expect this early, for sure," Depp admitted.

"But things happen when they happen. Her becoming an actress was never my hope or dream for her but that's what she enjoys doing. So I am very proud of her because she is super together and a sharp, sharp kid."

Johnny revealed he's been on-hand to offer advice to his teenage daughter, but still feels slightly unnerved by the sight of her preparing to shoot a scene.

"She tells me everything and if she needs any advice I am there," he told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper. "But yeah, it's happening pretty fast and when I see her with all that make-up and stuff, it's disturbing."

In addition to her acting talents, Lily-Rose has catapulted to the forefront of the modelling industry in recent months, with Karl Lagerfeld himself picking her to be the face of Chanel's Fall/Winter 2015-2016 eyewear campaign.
