Swarovski's move from fellow Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr to Taylor Swift's bestie Karlie Kloss is reportedly part of their plan to up their presence in North America.

“It's an honor to join the Swarovski family and to be part of the brand's long history of bringing elegance to women through brilliant, unique designs," Karlie said in a statement.

Nathalie Colin, Swarovski creative director, said Karlie embodies everything the brand stands for and revealed they're "thrilled" to have Kloss onboard.

“Besides her amazing beauty, she stands for modernity, freshness, self-confidence, elegance and spontaneity. Everything that we convey through our collections,” she said.

Karlie is profiled as "a fashion and lifestyle inspiration, a savvy digital personality with the Klossy YouTube channel, the brains behind the Kode With Karlie scholarship and a philanthropist business woman with Karlie’s Kookies" on the companies website, where they claim she is "much more than a supermodel".

Miranda Kerr became the face of Swarovski in 2013 when it was thought they were trying to reach the Australian audience.

Since then she's made numerous campaign appearances for the brand, helped to raise the massive Swarovski star to the top of the world famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and is regularly seen sporting the jewellry at red carpet events.
